1. Scope
This privacy policy explains how the MapsFlow Business Collector Chrome extension (the "Extension") handles information.
2. Information processed
After the user performs a search on a supported site (Bing Maps, Yandex Maps or Yellow Pages) and clicks Start, the Extension processes the following business information publicly displayed on that site:
- Business name and category
- Address
- Phone number
- Website
- Average rating
- Review count
- Business link and source site
The Extension also stores the selected interface language, the progress of the active scan and the number of businesses added that day for the daily limit. It does not collect the user's name, email address, account details, location or browsing history.
3. Purpose of processing
This information is used only to build the user-facing business table, preserve scan progress and prepare a CSV file when the user requests it.
4. Local storage
Collected business information and preferences are stored only in Chrome's local storage on the user's device. The Extension does not transmit this information to the developer's servers or any other server.
Records remain on the device until the user clicks Clear, starts a new scan or uninstalls the Extension.
5. Sharing and sale
Collected information is not sold, used for advertising or shared with third parties. When the user clicks Download CSV, the records are saved as a file on the user's computer.
To read business details, the Extension uses the search page the user opened; on Yandex Maps it opens each business card on the same page, and on Yellow Pages it may request further result pages from the same site through the user's browser. No developer data is added to these requests. Data processing by these sites is governed by each site's own privacy policy and terms.
6. Analytics and advertising
The Extension contains no analytics tracking, cookies, behavioral advertising, retargeting or user profiling tools.
7. Permissions
- sidePanel: to display the business table and scan controls in Chrome's side panel.
- storage: to keep the language preference, scan state, daily usage counter and business table on the user's device.
- Bing Maps, Yandex Maps and Yellow Pages host access: to read business information displayed on these sites during a scan started by the user. The Extension does not run on any other website.
8. User controls
Users can delete records at any time with the Clear button in the panel. When the Extension is uninstalled, Chrome automatically removes the Extension's local storage.
9. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure
The use of information received from Chrome APIs by MapsFlow Business Collector adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the Extension's clearly disclosed single purpose and user-facing features.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. If data practices change materially, users will be informed through the Chrome Web Store listing or the Extension interface.
